OF THE k-ITY OF JEFFERSON, 1956 ) WHIk-H ESTABLISHED A ROUTE TO BE USED BY MOTOR VEHIk-L E TRANSPORTING INFLAMMABLE' LIQUIDS AND PROVIDED A PENALTY, AND ENACTING A REPLAI-EMENT ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY k-OUN%jIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Repeal Clause. Ordinance Number 5935 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri ( being Sections 556-558 R. 0. of the City of Jefferson, 1956 ) establishing the routes to be used by motor vehicles transporting inflammable liquids in bulk and providing a penalty, be, and the same is hereby, repealed. Section 2. Routes of Vehicles Transportingz Inflammable Liquids. No vehicle with. a tank having a capacity of 11000 gallons or more shall, when said tank contains gasoline, kerosene, oil, or any other inflammable or explosive liquid, be driven, operated, pulled or propelled within this city except on U. S. Highways 50, 54 and 63, including the Rex M. Whitton Expressway. Section 3. Exceptions . The driver of any such vehicle mentioned in the preceding paragraph may leave the aforementioned U. S. Highways ( including the Rex M. Whitton Expressway ) for the purpose of loading, unloading or securing repairs to the vehicle, but only between the hours of sunrise and sunset, by using the most direct route from the authorized route to the place where such loading, unloading or repairs are done, and thereafter by returning to the authorized route by the most direct and shortest route available. Section 4. Police Permission Necessary When If it should be necessary for the driver to leave the established route at any other time or for any other purpose than provided in the preceding paragraph, permission must first be obtained from the Police Department of the City of Jefferson, Missouri. Section 5. Penalty Clause. Anyone violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. Section 6. Effective Clause.
