AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE
STREETS OF JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONQ,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for the operator of a
motor vehicle to permit the same to be parked for any period
of time between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on the
following named streets:
A. The north side of High Street between Washington
Street and Adams Street.
B. The south side of High Street between a point
located 200 feet east of Washington Street and
Adams Street.
--C. The north side of Capitol Avenue between a point
located 220 feet west of the west curb of Jefferson
Street and the west curb line of Adams Street.
D. The south side of Capitol Avenue between a point
located 220 feet west bf the west curb of Jefferson . .
Street and the west curb line of Adams Street.
E. The west side of Jefferson Street between. Capitol
Avenue and McCarty Street.
F. The east side of Jefferson Street between Capitol
Avenue and McCarty Street.
''G. The west side of Madison Street between State Street
and McCarty Street.
H. The east side of Madison Street between State Street
and Capitol Avenue, and between the public alley
known as Commercial Avenue and McCarty Street.
I. The west side of Monroe Street between Capitol Avenue
and McCarty Street.
J. The east side of Monroe Street between Capitol Avenue
and44cCarty Street.
K. The west side of Adams Street between Capitol Avenue
and High Street.
L. The east side of Adams Street between Capitol Avenue
and McCarty Street.
Section 2. In any prosecution charging a violation of this
ordinance, proof that the vehicle described in the complaint was
parked in violation of the ordinance, together with proof that
the defendant named in the complaint was at the time of such
parking the registered owner of the vehicle, as shown by the
records of the Department of Motor Vehicles of Missouri or the
state in-which said motor vehicle is licensed, shall constitute
in evidence a prima facie presumption that the registered owner
of the vehicle was the person who placed or parked such vehicle
at the point where, and for the time during which, such violation
occurred.
Section 3 . Anyone violating the terms of this ordinance shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.
