There is hereby appropriated out of any money in the City Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the following: REVENUE FUND For the purpose of paying the salaries of elective _;/ , 7�rl �a and appointive officers, the sum of $309500.01 For the purpose of paying expense, uniform and car allowance for officials, police officers, the sum of 1,490.00 -- $319990.01 VEHICLE FUND For the purpose of paying weekly wages of laborers, freight and incidentals under the Street Commissioner, the sum of $ 5,720.00 TRAFFIC AND VEHICLE FUND For the purpose of paying the salary of the Street Commissioner, the sum of $ 446.67 $38,156.68 from Section 2. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this ordinance, against the aggre- gate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting on the roadway of Carol Street from the west curb line of Hough Park Street to the west Right-of-Way line of Rosewood Drive, in the City of Jefferson, M ssouri, for the improvment of the roadway Carol Street aforesaid, inch?ding such grading as may be necessary for reception of a cement sidewalk, the sum of $37,226.02 as the total costs of the improvement of said street and the number of front feet fronting or abutting said roadway of said Carol Street aforesaid, between the aforesaid streets amount to 2,683.12, running feet; the cost price per running foot is $13.872602, SECTION 2. For the purpose of paring said improvement of said roadway of Carol Street from the west curb line of Hough Park Street to the west Right-of- Way line of Rosewood Drive, there is hereby levied and assessed the some of $13.872602 as a special tax against each front foot of ground fronting or abutting said roadway of Carol Street between the aforesaid streets, and con- tained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said improved roadway of said Carol Street. The name of each property owner or owners and the description of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting on each side of Carol Street from the west curb line of Hough Park Street to the west Right-ofWay line of Rosewood Drive, and the number of front feet owned by each owner or owners and contained in the lots or tracts of land so owned and abutting said block or street betvreen the aforesaid streets and the cost price per front foot for said improvement and the amount hereby levied and assessed as a special tax for said improvement against each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said Carol Street or the roadway from -the west curb line of Hough Park Street to the west Right-of-Way line of Rosewood Drive. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to made out special tax bills in favor of the contractor E. P. Barrett for the within mentioned work in accordance with the ordinances of the City of Jefferson, T.0 ssouri, relative to said kind of work and in accordance with the Charter of Said City in regard to said work.
