AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF SECRETARY IN THE OFFICE
OF THE CITY ENGINEER, PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT, `TERM
OF OFFICE, DUTIES AND SALARY OF SAID OFFICE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The position of secretary in the office of
the City Engineer is hereby created.
Section 2. The secretary in the office of the City
Engineer shall be appointed by the Mayor, upon the recommendation
of the City Engineer, and with the approval of a majority of
the members of the City Council.
Section 3. The secretary in the office of the City
ARM Engineer shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor, or until
her or his successor shall have been appointed and shall have
qualified.
Section 4. The secretary in the office of the City
Engineer shall perform all duties assigned to her and be
under the control and supervision of the City Engineer.
Section 5. The secretary in the office of the City
Engineer shall receive the following salary as compensation
for the performance of the duties of said position for each
month of employment beginning:
a) from the 1st month to the 6th month,
® inclusive -------------------------- $270.00
b) from the 7th month to the 18th month,
inclusive -------------------------- 280.00
c) from the 19th month to the 30th month,
inclusive -------------------------- 290. 00
d) from the 31st month to the 42nd month,
inclusive--------------------------- 300.00
e) from the 43rd month to the 54th month,
inclusive -------------------------- 310. 00
f) from the 55th month on ------------- 320.00
Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
