AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI REPEALING
RULE 26 OF THE RULES AND ORDER OF BUSINESS OF Th CITY COUNCIL
OF SAID CITY, WHICH RULE PRESCRIBES THE PROCEDURE TO BE
i7 FOLLOWED IN THE MAKING OF MOTIONS AND THE INTRODUCTION OF
7 ? RESOLUTIONS, AND ENACTING A NEW RM 26 OF THE RULES AND ORDER
OF BUSINESS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY, PERTAINING TO THE
SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Rule No. 26 of the Rules and Order of
Business of the City Council of the City of Jeffersoh, Missouri
prescribing the procedure to be followed in the making of
motions and the introduction of resolutions, be, and the same
is hereby repealed.
Section 2. There is hereby enacted a new Rule of the
Rules and Order of Business of the City Council of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, to be known and designated as Rule 26,
which shall read in words and figures as follows:
'Rule 26. When a motion is made or a
resolution is offered, it shall be read by
the person making the motion or offering the
resolution, or it shall be handed to the Clerk
and by him read aloud, prior to debate thereof.'
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and approved.
