AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELATING TO
FIRE PROTECTION IN AN AREA OUTSIDE OF THE CITY LIMITS OF THE
CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. The Fire Chief of the Fire Department of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri is hereby authorized and directed
to provide fire protection service, through the use of the
fire fighting facilities and equipment of the city, to all
business and commercial institutions and religious organizations
located outside, and within two miles, of the present corporate
boundaries of Jefferson City, Missouri; provided that said fire
protection service shall be provided only at such times when
the Fire Chief, in his discretion, finds that such service may
be provided without any danger, disadvantage or detriment to
persons and property within the city.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
