ORDINANCE NO. 7333
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5880
BY DELETING THE WORDS "OR STORAGE" FROM PARAGRAPH 1 OF SECTION 1302 OF ARTICLE
XIII AND INSERTING IN LIEU THEREOF THE CLAUSE it OR STORAGE IN OTHER THAN I.C.C.
APPROVED PROTABLE CYLINDERS."
WHEREAS, the City Council of Jefferson City referred to its Planning
and Zoning Commission a written petition seeking amendment of the provisions of
paragraph 1 of Section 1302 of Article XIII of Ordinance Number 5880, and
WHEREAS, said Commission, upon oral hearing, study and consideration
of said petition, recommended to the City Council of said City that the amend-
ment requested be made, and
WHEREAS, THE CITY COUNCIL of said City did cause to be published a
notice of its intention to conduct a hearing on the recommendation of said
Commission, and at said hearing to either enact or reject legislation implem-
enting said recommendation, said notice of hearing being published within a
newspaper of general circulation within said City for three consecutive days,
the last date of publication appearing more than 15 days prior to the date of
hearing, and,
WHEREAS, by said notice of hearing all persons interested in the recomm ndation
of the Commission were invited to appear and be he-ard in support of or in opposition
to the enactment of legislation implementing the recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City has caused said hearing to be he d
at the time and place mentioned in said notice of hearing and given all persons
and opportunity to be heard in support of and in opposition to the enactment of
legislation to carry out said recommendation, now therefore;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Paragraph 1 of Section 1302 of Article XIII of Ordinance
No. 5880 is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the words 11or storage:" and
inserting in lieu thereof the clause the words 11, or storage in other than I.C. approved
parotable cylinders" so that, as amended, Paragraph I of Section 1302 of
Article XIII of Ordinance No. 5880 shall read as follows:
111. Acetylene gas manufacture, or storage in other than I.C.C.
Approved Portable cylinders."
Section 2. In all other respects the existing provision of Section
1302 of Ordinance No. 5880, as originally enacted and hereto fore amended
from time to time, shall remain the same.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force drom and a ter
its passage and approval.
