BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWSt Section 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any money in the City Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the followings REVENUE FUND For the purpose of paying the salaries of elective and appointive officers, the sum of $329524.22 For the purpose of paying expense, uniform and car allowance for officials, police officers, the sum of 11635 .00 $34, 159 .22 VEHICLE FUND ® For the purpose of paying weekly wages of laborers, freight and incidentals under the Street Commissioner, the sum of $59720.00 TRAFFIC AND VEHICLE FUND For the purpose of paying the salary of the Street Commissioner the sum of 446.67 $40,325.89 Sectiou 2. Baker, Jr. City Clerk O R D I N A N C E N 0. 7 3 3 7 An Ordinance of the City of Jefferson , Missouri , authorizing and directing the City of Jefferson to contract by Ordinance with the cities of COLUMBIA, FULTON, MEXICO, MOBERLY AND BOONVILLE, Missouri , For the operation and interchange of common service of the respective Fire Departments of said cities in event of major conflagration or major disaster. Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , as follows : Section 1 . That the City of Jefferson, Missouri be and is hereby authorized and empowered to contract , and does hereby contract with the respective cities of COLUMBIA, BOONVILLE, FULTON, MEXICO AND MOBERLY, MISSOURI , to create a pool of Fire Fighting equipment and personnel from the fire departments of the respective contracting cities and to set up a plan of mutual assistance in event of a major conflagration or disaster occur- ring in any of the respective cities ; said contract to be under and by virtue of the provisions of Section 16, Article VI , of the Constitution of Missouri , and of Sections 70.210, 70.220 , 70 ,230, 71.370 , 71,380 , 71.390, 71 ,400 , 71,410 , and 71.420 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri , 1959, and which contract is in words and figures as follows : "THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into by and between the City of the City of Jefferson, Fulton , Columbia, Mexico, Boon- ville , Moberly, Missouri , witnesseth: 14HEREAS, the said cities are empowered by Ordinance duly enacted in each of said cities to enter into this contract. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual agreements hereinafter mentioned, to be performed by the said respective cities , it is agreed between said cities as follows : A joint Fire Department Committee, consisting of One (1) member from each of the contracting parties , who shall be the Fire Chief of the Fire Department of the respective city shall be created and directed to make a survey of the Fire Departments of each of the contracting cities and to arrange a pool of such Fire Fighting Equipment and personnel that could be safely spared from each or any of the contracting cities to respond to the call for assistance from any of the cities in event of a major conflagration or disaster occurring therein. The Joint Fire Department Committee shall set up a plan of Mutual Assistance among the contracting cities and shall corre- late the Fire Fighting Facilities of each city for the purpose of mutual safety. In the event of a call for assistance from any of the cities, all the Fire Departments from the contracting cities shall be on the alert to come to the assistance of the city or cities , responding to the call in event of need, and shall remain on the alert until the emergency is ended. All the fire equipment and personnel pooled for mutual assist - ance shall be stationed in the City owning and operating same and the Chief of the Fire Department of each city shall be the judge of whether any part of his equipment and personnel can be safely spared from his city at the time and under the circumstances in the event of a call for assistance .
