ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THECITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE ACTING CITY CLERK OF SAID
CITY TO EXECUTE FOR AND IN THE NAME OF SAID CITY AN AMENDMENT
TO A CONTRACT HERETOFORE EXECUTED BY THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI AND JOHN RATHOUZ, DATED OCTOBER 7, 1958.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1, The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, are hereby authorized and directed for
and in the name of the City an amendment to a contract that
has heretofore been executed by the City of Jefferson, Missouri
and John Rathouz dated October 7, 1958.
Section 2. The contract to bg executed shall read in
words and figures as follows:
C O N T R A C T
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this Z ' day of
March, 1963, by and between the CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,

hereinafter called the City, and JOHN RAThU2, Cole County,
Missouri, hereinafter called the Contractor:
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, the Parties to this contract have heretofore
executed a contract dated October 7, 1958, relating to the
collection, transportation and disposition of garbage,
refuse and trash by the Contractor from premises within the
city, and
WHEREAS, Paragraph 2 of said aforementioned contract
provides as follows:
112. Said contract shall extend for a term of five
years, beginning October 1, 1958 and terminat-
ing September 30, 1963; provided that said
contract shall be extended for a similar five
year term unless either party to this contract
gives to the other notice in writing of its
intention not to extend said term on or before
March 31, 1963."
AND WHEREAS, the Parties to this agreement wish to
give to themselves and .to each other an additional period
of time in which to determine if either party wishes to
extend the terms of the contract dated October 7, 1958,
now therefore:
IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS BY THE PARTIES:
1 . Paragraph 2 of the contract executed bythe parties
on October 7, 1958, is amended, as follows:
112. Said contract shall extend for a term of five
years, beginning October 1, 1958, and terminating
September 30, 1963; provided that said contract
shall be extended for a similar five year term
unless either party to this contract gives to the
other notice in writing of its intention not to
extend said contract for a further period of five
years on or before May 31, 1963."
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties to this contract have
caused their signatures to be affixed the day and year first
above written.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
