AN ORDINANCE IF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI$ AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , TO EXECUTE FOR AND IN THE NAME OF THE
CITY AN AMENDMENT TO A CONTRACT HERETOFORE EXECUTED BY THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI AND JOHN RATHOUZ, DATED OCTOBER
7, 1958 .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF. JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, are hereby authorized and directed for
and in . the name of said ci to execute an amendment to a
contract previously entered in o by the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, and John Rathouz under date of October 7, 1958.
Section 2. The amendment to said contract shall read
in words and figures as follows:
C O N T R A C T
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ,jr t" day of
May, 1963, by and between the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
hereinafter termed the City, and John Rathouz, Cole County,
Missouri, hereinafter termed the Contractor:
WITNESSETH
1. The Parties to this contract, executed for the
purpose of amending the second paragraph of a contract
heretofore executed by the parties on October 7, 1958,
relating to the collection, transportation and disposal
® of garbage, refuse -and trash from premises within the
City, do hereby agree that the second paragraph of the
aforesaid contract be amended to read as follows:
112. Said contract shall extend for a term of
five years, beginning October 1, 19582
and terminating September 30, 1963; provided
that said contract shall be extended for a
similar five year term unless either party
to this contract gives to the other notice
in writing of its intention not to extend
said contract for a further period of five
years on or before June %0, 1963,"
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties to this instrument
have caused their signatures and seals to be affixed the
day and year first above written.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval .
