AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON MISSOURI CHANGING
AMENDING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF T11E CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS INCORPORA`T'ED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER
58800, BY REZONING 2 CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND
FROM A DIS'T'RICT *2" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION
TO A DISTRICT "C" MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING CLASSIFICA'T'ION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri waspetitioned in writing to rezone land herein-
after described from its present District "A-2" Class-
ification to a District "C" Classification, and
WHEREAS, The City Council did refer said petition
for rezoning to the City Planning and Zoning Commission
for its consideration, hearing and recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission,
after hearing, study and consideration did recommend to
the City Council by its report, received and read by the
Council on March 61 1963, that the land hereinafter
described be rezoned as petitioned, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, by and through its City Clerk has caused a notice
of hearing for the purpose of rezoning to be published
three consecutive days in a newspaper of general circulation
within the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of
publication having been more than fifteen days preceding
the date of the hearing by the City Council, wherein such
notice of rezoning all interested parties were requested to
appear before the City Council at the time and place specified
therein for the purpose of attending a public hearing and
expressing their views in support of or in opposition to
the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, has conducted said hearing and heard the views
of all persons expressing an interest in the rezoning of
the land hereinafter described,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as
amended, of said city, is hereby changed, amended and
modified to reflect the rezoning of the following described
property from its present District "A-2" Single Family
Residence Classification to a District "C" Multiple Family
Dwelling Classification, and the following described
it
property is, and Pis hereby, rezoned accordingly:
"A tract of land in the west one-half of the
southwest quarter of Section 12, Township
44 North, Range 12 West, within the City of
Jefferson, County of Cole, Missouri, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point at the southwest corner
of the northwest quarter of Section 12, Township
44 North, Range 12 West, thence 706.5 feet East
to the point of beginning of this description:
thence Easterly 655.0 feet to a corner; thence
South 1280.0 feet to a point; thence West 420.0
feet to the east right-of-way line of Southwest
Boulevard; thence northerly, along and with the
easterly right-of-way line of Southwest Boulevard
to the point of beginning, containing 15.7 acres,
more or less."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
