AUTHORIZED USES.
WHEREAS, The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, by its Report dated March 15, 1963,
did recommend to the City Council of the city that Section
1002 of Article X of Ordinance Number 5880, the zoning ordinance
of the city, be amended by deleting from Paragraph 21. the words
"Nurseries and Greenhouses" and inserting in lieu thereof the
words "Sales and Showrooms and Incidental Services Connected
Therewith", and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of March 18, 1963,
after having heard the recommendation of the City Planning and
Zoning Commission, did receive the report, order same filed,
and thereafter, by motion, did modify the report by moving
that the words "Nurseries and Greenhouses" in Paragraph 21
of Section 1002 of Article X of Ordinance Number 5880 be left
unstricken and that a new paragraph numbered 22.7 of Section
1002 of Article X of Ordinance Number 5880 be added authorizing
any building or premises in any "E" Local Commercial District
within the City to be used for Sales and Showrooms and Inci-
dental Services Connected Therewith in addition to all other
uses presently authorized by Section 1002, as heretofore
amended, of Article X of Ordinance Number 58801 and
«iEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
by its City Clerk has caused a notice of hearing for the purpose
of modifying Ordinance Number 5880 in the aforementioned manner
to be published for three consecutive days in a newspaper
published within, and of general circulation in, the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of publication being more
than fifteen (15) days before the date of the hearing by the
City Council, as specified in said notice of hearing, wherein
all interested parties were invited to appear and be heard at
the time and place specified in said notice either in support
of or in opposition to the recommendation of the Planning and
Zoning Commission, as modified by the City Council, that Section
1002 of A rticle X of Ordinance Number 5880 be amended, and
WHERE1W, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, has conducted said hearing and given all persons
appearing an opportunity to be hoard either in support of
or in opposition to the proposed amendment to Ordinance
Number 5880 hereinabove mentioned, now therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOUk2, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance Number 5880 of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by
adding a new paragraph to be known as paragraph 22.7 of Section
1002 of Article X of said ordinance authorizing any building
or premises in an "E" Local Commercial District within the
City to be used for Sales and Showrooms and Incidental Services
Connected Therewith.
Section 2. Section 1002 of Article X of Ordinance Number
5880, as hereby amended, by adding Paragraph 22.7 shall read
in words and figures as follows:
"Section 1002. Use Regulations. A building or premises
shall be used only for the following purposes:
22.7 Sales and Showrooms and Incidental Services
Connected Therewith."
Section 3. All other paragraphs of Section 1002 of
Article X of Ordinance Number 58801 consisting of paragraphs
1 through 22 and paragraph 22.5, shall remain in effect and
undisturbed and all uses of buildings and premises provided
by said paragraphs shall continue to be permitted.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
