AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ALLEY BETWEEN
EAST CAPITOL AVENUE AND EAST STATE STREET, FROM MADISON STREET TO
MONROE STREET, BY GRADING AND PAVING WITH A SIX-INCH (6„ ) ROLLED
STONE BASE AND SURFACING WITH A ONE AND ONE-HALF INCH (1j”)
ASPHALTIC CONCRETE MAT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is hereby found and declared by the City
Council, necessary to improve by grading, paving and surfacing
the roadway of the alley between East Capitol Avenue and East
State Street from Madison Street to Monroe Street, as designated
in the title of this ordinance, in accordance with the plans
® and specifications submitted by the City Engineer and filed in
the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 2. The total cost of the work aforesaid shall be
determined on the basis of the actual work done at the unit cost
for each item, and shall be paid for in cash by the City of
Jefferson, Missouri.
SECTION 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to
advertise for bids for this improvement.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
