ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , REPEALING
ORDINANCE NUMBER 6951 OF THE CITY, ESTABLISHING THE VEHICLE
FUND, AND ORDINANCE NUMBER 6952 OF THE CITY, ESTABLISHING AND
DEFINING THE TRAFFIC AND VEHICLE FUND, AND ENACTING A NEW
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE "GASOLINE FUND" IN THE CITY TREASURY,
PRESCRIBING THE SOURCE OF REVENUE THEREOF AND THE PURPOSES FOR
WHICH EXPENDITURES THEREFROM MAY BE MADE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. Ordinances numbered 6951 and 6952 of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, respectively establishing the "Vehicle
Fund" and the "Traffic and Vehicle Fund" in the city treasury
of the city be, and the same are hereby, repealed.
Section 2. Gasoline Fund. There is hereby established in the
treasury of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, a fund to be known
as the "Gasoline Fund".
Section 3. Source of Revenue. The Gasoline Fund shall be
omposed of all monies paid to the City of Jefferson, Missouri
y the Director of Revenue of the State of Missouri as the share
f the city in the motor fuel tax levied by the State of Missouri
pursuant to Sections 30 (a) and (b) of Article 4 of the 1945
onstitution of the State of Missouri, as amended.

Section 4. Expenditures of Monies. Monies in the Gasoline
and shall be used solely for the construction, reconstruction,
maintenance, repair, policing, signing, lighting and cleaning of
roads and streets within the city and for the payment of principal
and interest incurred by the city prior to March 6, 1962, on
ccount of road and street purposes.
Section 5. Transfer of Fund Balances. All monies in the
'Vehicle Fund" and the "Traffic and Vehicle Fund" of the city
reasury, which have been received by the city from a source

ther than described in Sectionlof this ordinance, shall be
ransfe rred to the general revenue fund of the city treasury.

Section 6. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in forceTfrom
and after its passage and approval.
