THE ROADWAYS OF THIS CITY PRESCRIBING A PRESUMPTION TUT

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI
Section 1. Parking vehicles prohibited. The operator
of a vehicle shall not park the name at any place within the
described limits on the following-named roadways, or the
part thereof hereinafter specifically designated:
(A) On the south half of Water Street east
and within a distance of 30 feet of the
east curb of Jefferson Street.
(B) On the north half of Water Street eaat of
and within 200 feet of the extension of
the east curb of Jefferson Street
(C) On the north half of Water Street west of
and within 200 feet of the extension of the
west curkj of Jefferson Street.
Section 2. Presumption to apply. In any prosecution
for a violation of any provision of Section 1, proof that the
vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation
of any provision of Section 1, together with proof that the
defendant named in the complaint was at the time of such parking
the owner of the vehicle, shall constitute in evidence a prima
facie presumption that the owner of the vehicle was the person
who parked the vehicle at the point where, and for the time
during which, such violation occurred.
.Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not
more than $100.00 or be imprisoned in jail for not more than
90 days, or be punished both by such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and n be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
