AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI CHANGING
AMENDING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CRY OF JEFFN,
MISSOURI, AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880 BY
REZONING CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM A 61STRICT
"B" TWO FAMILY RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION TO A DISTRICT "E"
LOCAL COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, was petitioner on August 2, 1963, in writing to
rezone land hereinafter described from its present District "B"
Classification to a District "E" Classification, and
WHEREAS, on August 5, 1963, the City Council did refer
the tition to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for

its consideration, study and recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after
hearing, study and consideration, by its report dated August 16,
1963 and received and read by the City Council on September 2,
1963, recommended that the land as described in the petition and
hereinafter described in this ordinance, should be rezoned as
petitioner, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, by and through its City Clerk has caused a notice
of hearing for the purpose of rezoning to be published
three consecutive days in a newspaper of general circulation
within the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of
publication having been more than fifteen days preceding the
date of the hearing by the City Council, wherein such notice
of rezoning all interested parties were requested to appear
before the City Council at the time and place specified
therein for the purpose of attending a public hearing and
expressing their views in support of or in opposition to the
recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, has conducted said hearing and heard the views of
all persons expressing an interest in the rezoning of the
land hereinafter described.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITE OF JEFFEMON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as
amended, of said city, is hereby changed, amended and modified
to reflect the rezoning of the following-described property from
its present District "B" Two Family Residence Classification
to a District 'E" Local Commercial Classification, and the
following-described property is, and it is hereby, rezoned
accordingly:
'Part of 'Got No. 38, of Owens' Subdivision
of Outlots Nos. 55 and 56, in -the City of Jefferson,
Cole County, Missouri, and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on Miller Street 90 feet
6 inches westerly from the southeasterly corner of
said Lot No. 38; thence northerly parallel with
Clark Avenue 50 feet; thence westerly parallel with
Miller Street, 95 feet 6 inches; thence southerly
parallel with Clark Avenue 50 feet; thence easterly
along Miller Street 95 feet 6 inches, to the point
of beginning."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
