AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI REPEALING
SECTION 7 .510 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 7344 REGULATING THE PARKING
OF TAXICABS, AND ENACTING A NEW SECTION 1.510 OF ORDINANCE
NUMBER 7344, RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1.510 of Ordinance Number 7344 of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, be, and the same is hereby
repealed.
Section 2. There is hereby enacted a new ordinance
® to be known as Section 1.510 of Ordinance Number 7344 of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, regulating the parking of
taxicabs on the roadways of the city, which shall read in words
and figures as follows:
a Section 1.510. Taxicab stands 1. The defined
areas on the named roadways are established as "taxicab stands":
(A) Central Hotel. The north half of
High Street between two points located
83 feet and 102 feet west of the west
curb of Jefferson Street.
(B) Governor Hotel. The south half of
Capitol Avenue between two points
located 38 feet and 78 feet west of the
west curb of Madison Street.
(C) Missouri Hotel. The south half of High
Street between two points located 21 feet
and 61 feet east of the east curb of
Adams Street.
(D) City Cab Company. The west half of Madison
Street between two points located 190 feet
and 210 feet north of the north curb of
High Street.
(E) Missouri Pacific Railroad Depot. The
north shoulder of State Street between
two points located 37 feet and 146 feet
west of the west curij of Monroe Street.
Section 2. Taxicab Lo�adiina Zone. The area on' the
north half of State Street'be"I'ween-tom weSt curb of Monroe
Street and a point located 25 feet west of the west curb of
State Street is hereby established as a taxicab loading zone at
the Missouri Pacific Railroad Depot.
Section 3. The operator of a vehicle, other than
a taxicab, shall not park or stand the same within any
taxicab stand or taxicab loading zone.
Section 4. The operator of a taxicab, other than
a taxicab of the City Cab Company, shall not park the same in
the taxicab stand described in Paragraph (D) of subsection 1.
Section 5. The operator of a taxicab shall occupy
the same an all times while it parked within any taxicab
stand .o y taxicab loading zone,
Section 6. Only one taxicab of any taxicab company
shall be parked at the same time within any taxicab stand.
Section 7. The operator of a taxicab shall not
park the same at any time within any parking meter space an any
roadway.
Section 8. Effective date This ordinance shall take
effect and be in fore-rom and after its passage and approval.
