O INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN : Robinson and Hawes ORDINANCE NO. 2 '149 Aft ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI REGULATING THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THIS CITY PROVIDING A PRESUMPTION THAT ANY VEHICLE PARKED IN VIbLATION OF THE ORDINANCE, WAS PARKED BY THE OWNER THEREOF, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Parkincar Vehicles Prohibited. The operator of a vehicle shalf"N'37 park the same at any p ace within the ® described limits on the following named roadways, or the part thereof hereinafter specifically designated: (A ) On the east shoulder of U. S. Highway 54 between Tanner Bridge Road and the' south city limits line. (B) On the north half of Miller Street between Jackson Street and Marshall Street at any time between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., on any day school is in session at Simonsen Junior High School. Section 2. Presumption to Apply. In any prosecution for a violation of any provision or action 1, proof that the vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation of any provision of Section 1 together with proof that the defendant named in the complaint was at the time of such parking the owner of the vehicle shall constitute in evidence a prima facie presumption that the owner of the vehicle was the person who parked the vehicle at the point where, and for the time during which, such violation occurred. Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis. demeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than $100.00 or be imprisoned in jail for not more than 90 days, or be punished both by such fine and imprisonment.
