AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON MISSOURI, REGULATING
THE OPERATION OF MO'T'OR VEHICLES ON THfi ROADWAYS OF THE CITY,
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Stop Si is The driver of a vehicle in

motion on the fir named roadway, in the following numbered
paragraphs, shall bring the vehicle to a full and complete
stop before entering the nearest crosswalk at the intersection
with the last named roadway in the same mnumbered paragraph,
and thereafter proceed cautiously, yielding the right of way
to any pedestrian crossing a roadway at the intersection
within any marked or unmarked crosswalk or to any vehicle,
not required to stop, which is either within the intersection
or approaching so closely thereto as to constitute an immediate
hazard.
Stop on:
(5) Chestnut Street before entering Leslie Boulevard.'
(10) Rosewood Street before entering Winston Drive.
(15) Winston Drive before entering Rosewood Street.
Section 2. Penalty. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this or Hance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not
more than $100.00 or be imprisoned in jail for not more than
90 days, or be punished both by such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3. Effective date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from an after its passage and approval.
