AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON MISSOURI REGULATING CITY
THE PRESCRIBING VEHICLES ON
ANY iVEHICLLE PARKED IN VIOUkON
WAS PARKED BY THE CANER THEREOF, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Loading Zone. . The operator of a vehicle shall
not park the same on the south half of McCarty Street at any
place between two points located 34. feet and 64"" feet
east of the east curb of Madison meet, except t a—f a
vehicle may be parked within the area described above between
the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 10:30 A.M., on any day of the
week except Sunday, to load or unload the equipment or
merchandise of Electronics Business Equipment, Inc.
Section 2. Presumption to a 1 In any prosecution
for a violation of any provision of a tion 1, proof that the
vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation
of any provision of Section 1 together with proof that the
defendant named in the complaint was at the time of such
parking the owner of the vehicle shall constitute in evidence
a prima facie presumption that the owner of the vehicle was
the person who parked the vehicle at the point where, and
for the time during which, such violation occurred.
Section 3. Penal & Any person violating any of the
provisions of this or Hance shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more
than $100.00 or be imprisoned in Jail for not more than 90
days, or be punished both by such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. Effective date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
