AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI AMENDING
ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880 OF THE CITY BY AUTHORIZING PREMISES
AND BUILDINGS IN AN 'IF" HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO BE
USED "FOR ACETYLENE GAS STORAGE IN APPROVED I.C.C. CONTAINERS. '' j

WHEREAS, the City Council did receive at its meeting of
October 7, 1963 , a written petition asking that the use
regulations under Section 1102 of Article XI of Ordinance
Number 5$$0 be modified to authorize use of a building or

I premises within the tr F Highway Commercial District for
acetylene gas storage in approved I.C.C. containers , and
WHEREAS, the City Council did refer the petition to the
City Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration,
hearing and recommendation, and '
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission, at its
meeting on October 17, 1963 , considered the petition, and after
1 hearing, did recommend to the City Council, by its report
received and read by the council at its meeting of November 4,
1963 , that the petition be granted, and
WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson, Missouri, through its

i clerk, caused a notice of the hearing by the city council
and the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission
to be published for three consecutive days in the Jefferson
City Post Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation published
within the city, the last date of publication occuring more

than fifteen days prior to the date of the hearing fixed in
said notice, wherein all persons were invited to appear at
the time and place of the hearing and be heard in support of
or in opposition to the recommendations of the Planning and
Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council, on this 2nd day of December,
I; 1963 , has held the hearing at the time and place specified in

the notice thereof and has heard all views expressed by
everyone desiring to be hear, now, therefore;

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance Number 58$0 of the city, known
as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by inserting in
Section 1102 of Article XI a new subparagraph, reading in
words and figures as follows : "15. Acetylene gas storage
in approved I.C.C. Containers . " so that Section 1102, as
amended, shall read, in part , as follows :
"Section 1102. A building or premises shall be
used only for the following purposes :
15. Acetylene gas storage in approved I.C.C.
C-4 containers . "
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage and approval.
