AN.ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF=TEMPLE_CITY AMEND-
ING THE MUNICIPAL CODE.BY.PROVIDING FOR METHOD
OF APPROVAL OF PLOT PLANS BY.THE CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ,ORDAIN ,AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: AMENDING MUNICIPAL CODE
Zoning Ordinance No. 1494 as adopted in Section 9102 of
Chapter 1, Article IX is amended, added to and repealed as follows:
Section 728 is amended to read as follows:
: "Section 728. Plot Plan. When more than one single -
family residence in.Zones R -1, R -A, A -1, A -2, A -2 -H and P, or more
than two single-family or one two-family residence in, Zone R-2 are
established, constructed, occupied, structurally altered or used on
a lot or parcel of land having twice,the required area or more, the
_owner of such lot or parcel of land shall file with the Secretary
of the Planning Commission in the City Hall, Temple City, California,
for the.administrative. records and for revisions, verification of
compliance, and approval by the Chairman of, the.Planning Commission
a plot plan showing the size .of.said lot or parcel of land, the use
and locations of the buildings and the area provided for each such
residence as herein required."
Section.728.1 is added to read follows:
"Section 728.1. Approval _of.P1ot Plan. Upon the filing
of a plot plan with the Secretary,of the. Planning; Commission the
Secretary of the Planning Commission shall forward by regular mail
on the day,of.filing, if filed prior to 12 :00.A. M. or on the follow -
ingday if filed after 12:00.A. M., unless the following day,be.a
day on which .the .City Hall is closed pursuant to the Section 2702
of.the,Municipai Code, a copy of the submitted plot, plan to each of
the members of the Planning Commission at their home address on file
with the. Secretary, of the Planning If, after 48 hours,
no written objection to the .submitted plot _ plan is received by the
Secretary of. the Planning Commission, the Chairman may . approve or
disapprove the submitted plot plan; said 48 hours shall commence to
run .at.10:00 P. M. on the .day of mailing; in the event the Secretary
of the .Planning Commission shall receive any written objections to
the submitted plot . plan within 48 hours of mailing, as set forth
above, no approval of the plot plan shall be given by the Chairman
of the Planning Commission, and the matter shall be set for hearing
before :the .Planning Commission at its next.regularly scheduled
meeting."
Section .728.2 is added to read as follows:
"Section 728.2. Appeal. Not later than ten (10) days
after final action by the Planning Commission a written appeal may
be filed, with .the .City Council, by filing with the City Clerk, and
the City Council shall set .the •.matter for hearing at its next.regular-
ly scheduled meeting, providing that there are .ten .(10) days between
the.time.of filing the notice of appeal with the .City;Clerk and the
_next regularly scheduled meeting; if.there :is less than ten.(10) days
the appeal shall be heard on. the . next succeeding regularly scheduled
meeting."
Section 728.3 is added to read as follows:
"Section 728.3. Fee. A fee of $10.00 shall be paid upon
the filing of each plot plan."

Pursuant to the provisions of Section .36937 (d).of. the
Government - Code - of.the: State of California, this Ordinance shall
take effect immediately as it is an .Ordinance which relates to
taxes for the .usual .and . current expenses of the city-of Temple City.
The City Clerk shall cause copies of. this Ordinance to be posted
in three (3) public .places within the City Limits of. the .City of
Temple City as prescribed pursuant to the provisions of sections
2801, 2802, and 2803, of CHAPTER .8.ofARTICLE 11 of the Temple City
;Municipal Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of, the City of
Temple City at a regular meeting thereof held this 27th. day ;of
June, 1960, by the following called vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Buchan, Dickason, Merritt, Tyrell & Fitzjohn
.NOES: .Councilmen -None.
ABSENT: Councilmen -None.
