AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REPEALING
SECTION 450 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
19561 RELATING TO THE NUMBER AND METHOD OF APPOINTMENT OF FIVE
CAPTAINS IN THE CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE
PERTAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT..
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 450 of the Revised Ordinances of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1956, be, and the same is hereby
repealed.
Section 2. There is hereby enacted a new provision to be
known as Section 450 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, 1956, relating to the number and method of
appointment of five captains in the fire department, which shall
read in words and figures as follows:
"Section 450 . Fire Captains, appointment. Five
of the firemen shall be designatod fire captains.
The fire captains shall perform all duties assigned
to them by the fire chief. The fire captains shall
be appointed by the Fire Department Committee with
the approval and consent of the city council."
® Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force as of 4 44 ,
from and after its passage and approval.
