AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NUMBER 7454, PRESCRIBING AND FIXING RATES AND CHARGES
FOR THE USE OF PUBLIC SEWERS AND THE SEWERAGE SYSTEM OF THE
CITY AND REQUI:RRING PAYMENT OF SUCH RATES AND CHARGES, BY j
REPEALING PARAGRAPH B OF SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 7454
ESTABLISHING SERVICE CHARGES, AND ENACTING A NEW PARAGRAPH B
OF SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 7454 RELATING TO THE SAME
SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Paragraph B of Section 3 of Ordinance
Number 7454, be and the same is hereby, repealed.
Section 2. There is hereby enacted a new provision,
to be known as Paragraph B of Section 3 of Ordinance Number
7454 which. shall read in words and figures as follows:
"Ordinance No. 7454
Section 3.
(B) The sewer service charges specified in
paragraph (A) of this section shall apply
only when paid within 40 days of the date of
their billing. Every sewer service charge,
remaining unpaid for 40 days after the date of
its billing, shall be increased 10`Jo, and
thereafter such sewer service charge shall be
increased an additional ten (101.) per cent for
each 30-day period such charge remains unpaid
after the expiration of 40 days from the date
of its billing."
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval . /
