INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEN: Cline Hogg, Debo Klie el and Hawes and Robinson ORDINANCE NO. 7f�8,3 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THIS CITY, PRESCRIBING A PRESUMPTION THAT ANY VEHICLE, PARKED IN VIOLATION OF THE ORDINANCE, WAS PARKED BY THE OWNER THEREOF, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI i Section 1. Parking vehicles prohibited. The operator of a vehicle shall not park the same at any place within the described limits on the following-named roadways, or the part thereof hereinafter specifically designated: A) On the west half of Bolivar Street between U. S. Highway 54 and 63 and the alley lying ! between said Highway and McCarty Street. i B) On the east half of Lafayette Street between j Franklin Street and Dunklin Street. _.'6,) r a of sell e�'Ia�tween ;M,lbe StYeet..Ynd Ma n S�re 1 C) On the south half of St. Mary's Boulevard west, and within 84 feet, of the west curb of Delaware Street. Section 2. Presumption to a 1 . In any prosecution for a violation of any provision of Section 1, proof that the vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation of any provision of Section 1, together with proof that the defendant named in the complaint was at the time of such parking the owner of the vehicle, shall constitute in evidence a prima facie presumption that the owner of the vehicle was the person who parked the vehicle at the point where, and for the time during which, such violation occurred. Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than $100 .00 or be imprisoned in jail for not more than 90 days, or be punished both by such fine and imprisonment.
