INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEN: ROBINSON AND HAWES 7If/97 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI', REGULATING THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES WITHIN THE CITY, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'T'Y OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 . Parking vehicles prohibited. The operator of a motor vehicle shall not park the same at any point on the south half of Dunklin Street located west, and within 40 feet, of the west curb of Adams Street. Section 2. Presumption to apply. In any prosecution for a violation of Section 1, proof that the vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation of Section 11 together with proof that the defendant named in the complaint was at the time of such parking the owner of the vehicle, shall constitute in evidence a prima facie presumption that the owner of the vehicle was the person who parked the vehicle at the point where, and for the time during which, such violation occurred. Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than $100 .00 or be imprisoned in jail for not more than 90 days, or be punished both by such fine and imprisonmat.
