WHEREAS, it has further been shown that the area petitioned tol
+ be vacated is not used bey the public, and that any prospective
ruse thereof would be of no benefit to the public, and that it would'
� not inconvenience the public or the citizens of this City to dis-
continue as a right of way for a public thoroughfare and vacate
�Ithat portion of a twenty (20) foot alley described in Section 1 of
this Ordinance, now therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED? BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI
i AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missour ,
hereby declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue
as a right of way for a public thoroughfare and forever vacate the
ifollowing-described property:
"All that part of a twenty (20) foot alley in
I Block 20 of Renns Addition that is bounded on
the east by Lot 13, Block 20, and on the west
by Lot B, Block 20, as a plat of Renns Addition
appears of record in Plat Book 2, at Page 2,
Cole County Recorder's Office."
Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of
the property abutting on the area vacated above, as provided by the
laws of Missouri, is hereby expressly confirmed, and the Mayor and
the Clerk of the City are hereby authorized and directed to ex-
ecute in writing all instruments necessary or required to confirm
in the abutting property owners their reversionary rights in the
land described above and hereby vacated.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
