AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAY
OF BALD HILL ROAD BETWEEN THE WESTERLY CURB LINE OF HOBBS
TERRACE A;1D THE EASTERLY CURB LINE OF PEYTON DRIVE IN THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY GRADING, PAVING WITH ASPHALT
AND CURBING AND GUTTERING WHERE NECESSARY WITH PORTLAND CEMENT
CONCRETE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, j
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and
declared by the City Council, by its resolution, passed
and approved on October 71 1964 necessary to grade, pave with
asphalt and curb and gutter where necessary with Portland
Cement Concrete the roadway of Bald Hill Road between the
westerly curb line of Hobbs Terrace and the easterly curb
line of Peyton Drive and it appearing to the City Council
that said resolution has been duly published according to the
law for seven (7 ) consecutive insertions, in the Jefferson
City Post Tribune, a daily newspaper, printed and published
in the City f Jefferson Missouri and a majority of the

resident owners of property along said section of Bald Hill
Road liable for the costs of said improvement, and who own
a majority of the front feet on the portion of Bald Hill

Road intended to be improved, have not filed with the City
Clerk a protest against said contemplated improvement.
Section 2. That Bald Hill Road between the westerly
curb line of Hobbs Terrace and the easterly curb line of
Peyton Drive be graded, : paved with asphalt and curbed and
guttered where necessary with Portland Cement Concrete in
!' accordance with the plans and specifications submitted by the
r'. City Engineer and filed in the office of the City Clerk.
Section 3. That the cost of grading and paving said

roadway with asphalt and guttering same, where necessary,
with Portland cement concrete shall be paid for by the City
of Jefferson, Missouri from available monies in the Street Bond
Issue Fund and the cost of curbing the roadway, where necessary,
with Portland cement concrete shall be charged and levied as
a special assessment against the real estate abutting and
fronting on said curbing improvement, and special tax bills
shall be issued therefor, as provided in the City Charter, and
in Sections 826, 8270, 8280, 829 and 830 of Chapter 10 of the
Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1956,
as amended, and of the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri
® 1959, as amended.
Section 4. The City Engineer is hereby instructed
to advertise for bids for this improvement.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and approval.
