AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING,
AMENDING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY
REZONING CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM A DISTRICT
"A-1" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION TO A DISTRICT {
"F" HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,

Missouri, was petitioned on March 21 1964, in writing to
rezone land hereinafter described from its present District
"A-1" Classification to a District "F" Classification, and
I
WHEREAS, on March 16, 1964, the City Council did refer
the petition to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for
its consideration, study and recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after
hearing, study and consideration, by its report dated
April 6, 1964, and received and read by the City Council on
April 8, 1964, recommended that the land as described in the
petition and hereinafter described in this ordinance, should
be rezoned as petitioned, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri

by and through its City Clerk has caused a notice of hearing
for the purpose of rezoning to be published three consecutive
days in a newspaper of general circulation within the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of publication having
been more than fifteen days preceding the date of the hearing
by the City Council, wherein such notice of rezoning all
interested parties were requested to appear before the City
Council at the time and place specified therein for the
purpose of attending a public hearing and expressing their
views in support of or in opposition to the recommendation of
the Planning and Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
has conducted said hearing and heard the views of all persons
expressing an interest in the rezoning of the land herein-
after described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The zoning map of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as
amended, of said city, is hereby changed, amended and modified
to reflect the rezoning of all that portion of the following-
described property presently zoned in District "A-1" Single
Family Residence Classification from its present District
"A-1" Single Family Residence Classification to a District "F"
Highway Commercial Classification, and that portion of the
following-described property is, and it is hereby, rezoned
accordingly:
Part of the southeast quarter of Section 131
Township 44 North, Range 12 West, more
particularly described as follows:
From the quarter section corner on the south side
of Section 131 Township 44 North, Range 12 West,
thence north along the quarter section line 1136 .52
feet to the point of beginning of this description;
thence continuing north along the quarter section
line a distance of 407 . 88 feet, more or less, to
the southerly right-of-way line of Cole County
Route "C"; thence northeasterly, along and with
said right-of-way line, to the most westerly
corner of a tract of land conveyed to Neil D.
McKay and wife by a warranty deed of record in
Book 174 at Page 97, Cole County Recorder's
Office; thence south 52 degrees 42 minutes east,
along and with the southwesterly line of the
aforementioned McKay tract, 588.5 feet, more or
less, to the northerly right-of-way line of
U. S. Highway No. 54; thence south 35 degrees
west, along and with the northerly right-of-way
line of U. S. Highway No. 54, a distance of 896 . 3 feet;
thence north 75 degrees 10 minutes west a distance
of 435.6 feet, more or less, to the west line of
the southeast quarter of Section 13 and the point
of beginning of this description.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
