ORDINANCE NO. '74-J&
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON , MISSOURI, REGULATING
THE OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THE CITY,
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . Right of way. The operator of a vehicle
moving in an easterly or westerly direction on Livingston
Street when approaching and immediately before entering
the intersection formed by Livingston Street and Ridgeway
Drive shall yield the right of way to a vehicle being
operated on Ridgeway Drive which is either entering, or
approaching so closely to, said intersection as to
® constitute an immediate hazard.
Section 2. Penalty. Any person violating any provision
of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than
$100 .00 or be imprisoned in jail for not more than 90 days,
or be punished both by such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3 . Effective date . This ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage
and approval .
