AN ORDINANCE OF THE, CITY.OF TEMPLE CITY AMEND-
ING THE MUNICIPAL CODE BY PROVIDING.A FEE OF
$50.00 FOR FILING APPLICATIONS FOR_CHANGE.OF
ZONE AND ZONE VARIANCES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: AMENDING MUNICIPAL CODE.
Section 608. of. Section 9103 of Article IX, Chapter I is
amended to read as follows:
SECTION 608: Petitions. The Planning Commission shall
prescribe the form in which applications for change.of zone.bound
aries or classifications or for variances are made. It may prepare
and provide blanks for such purpose .and may prescribe,the.type of
information to be provided in the application by the petitioner.
No petition shall be received .unless it. complies with such require-
ments. If signatures of persons other than the owners of property
making the application. are.required,or offered in supportof, or
in.opposition to, the application, they-may be received.as evidence
of notice.having.been served upon.them:of, the pending application
or as evidence.of.their opinion on the pending issue, but they shall
in.no case infringe.upon the free.exer:cise.of.the powers vested in
the City of.Temple City.
Petitions or applications filed pursuant.to this ordinance
shall be.numbered consecutively in.the.order of. their filing and
shall become.a part of.the:permanent.official records of the Plan -
ning Commission, and there shall be.attached thereto and permanently
filed therewith.copies of. all notices and .actions with.affidavits
of posting, mailing or publication.pertaining, thereto.
A fee,of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) shall be,paid_ upon the
.filing,of each petition provided. for in.Section.16 and 17.for the
.purpose.of defraying the.expense.of,postage, posting, advertising
and .other costs. incidental to the.proceedings prescribed herein.
A written receipt.shall be-.issued to the person making such .payment
and.records of such payments and expenditures thereof shall be kept
in.such,manner as prescribed by law.
SECTION 2: EFFECTIVE DATE.
Pursuant to the provisions of.Section 36937.(d) of.the
.Government Code: of.the.State.of,California, this Ordinance shall
take effect immediately. as it is an Ordinance which.relates to taxes
for the usual and.current.expenses of the City'of Temple City. The
.City Clerk shall cause copies of.this Ordinance to be.posted in three
(3)public places within .the .City.Limits of :the.City,.of.Temple.City
as prescribed pursuant to the provisions of sections 2801, 2802, and
2803. of. CHAPTER.8- of.ARTICLE 11 of. the Temple.City Municipal Code.
