AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY TO OBTAIN A CORPORATE SURETY BOND IN THE A401M O'P
ONE THOUSAND ($1,000.00) DOLLARS, PAY THE PREMIUM THEREFOR,
AND FILE THE BOND WITH THE STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION OF
MISSOURI.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The Mayor of the city shall, on behalf of
the city, obtain a corporate surety bond in the penal sum of
One Thousand ($1, 000.00) Dollars and cause said bond to be
filed with the State Highway Commission of Missouri .

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS that we,

as surety, are held and firmly bound unto the State Highway Commission of Missouri in the penal sum
of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000), good and lawful money of the United States, to be paid to the State
Highway Commission of Missouri, its successors or assigns, for which payment well and truly to be made,
we bind ourselves,- our agents, our heii;s', executors, administrators, successors and assigns, jointly and
severally, firmly by these presents.

WHEREAS, the above oounden. principal has applied and will apply to the State Highway Commis-
sion of Missouri for permission to locate and maintain facilities on or across certain state highways in Mis-
souri and agrees to construct and maintain all said facilities and all attachments as near the right-of-way
line as possible or at such places as the Chief Engineer of the State Highway Commission or its District
Engineer shall designate, and agrees not to trim or cut any trees or shrubs within or along any state
highway right-of-way without detailed written permission of the District Engineer therefor, and agree--;
further to move, at the principal's expense, as soon as practical after request from the District Engineer,
said facilities or any part thereof to such new location within the right-of-way as the District Engineer may
designate, and will always install and maintain said facilities and fixtures to the satisfaction of the District
Engineer and in such a way as to not be a hazard to the traveling public or interfere with the maintenance
of the highway.
NOW, THEREFORE, the condition of this obligation is such that if the said principal, its successors,
assigns, executors, administrators, employees, agents or contractors shall at all times as long as any part of
said facilities or fixtures remain within a state highway duly observe and perform all and singular of the
agreements, covenants and conditions as above set out to be observed and performed by said principal,
then this obligation shall be void, otherwise to remain in full force d effect until ninety (90) days after
written notice of termination or cancellation shall bL give a Chi Engin of the St ig ay Com-
mission by the surety.
