AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REPEALING
PARAGRAPH 50 OF SUBSECTION 1 OF SECTION 1 .530 OF ORDINANCE
NUMBER 7344 OF THE CITY, PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF MOTOR
VEHICLES ON THE NORTH HALF OF ATCHISON STREET BETWEEN
CHESTNUT STREET AND LOCUST STREET, AND ENACTING A NEW
ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT AND PROVIDING A
PENALTY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Parking vehicles prohibited.�,_,'��,e operator

of Atchison Street at any place within 196 feet east of
the east curb of Chestnut Street.
Section 2 . Presum tion to awl '. In any prosecution
for a violation o Section 1, proof •that the vehicle
described in the complaint was parked in violation of
Section 11 together with proof that the defendant named
in the complaint was, at the time of such parking, the
owner of the vehicle, shall constitute in evidence a prima
facie presumption that the owner of the vehicle was the
person who parked the vehicle at the point where, and for
the time during which, such violation occurred.
'.Section 3. Penalty. A person violating any of the
provisions of this ordnance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined
not more than $100.00 or be imprisoned in jail for not more
than 90 days, or be punished both by such fine and imprisonmat.
Section 4. Paragraph 50 of Subsection 1 of Section 1.530
® of Ordinance Number 7344 of the city of Jefferson, Missouri
is hereby repealed.
Section 5 . This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force om and after'its passage and approval
