ORDINANCE NO. -1601
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , CHANGING, AMEND-
ING AND MODIFYIW THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY, AS INCORPORATED INTO
ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880 OF THE CITY, AS AMENDED, BY REZONING CERTAIN
LAND FROM DISTRICT "B" MULTIPLE DWELLING TO DISTRICT "C" MULTIPLE
DWELLING.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Jefferson City, Missouri , was
petitioned in writing to rezone land hereinafter described from
District "B" Multiple Dwelling to District "C" Multiple Dwelling,
and
WHEREAS, the Council referred said petition to the Planning
and Zoning Commission for study, consideration and recommendatio
and
WHEREAS, the said Commission, after study and consideration,
recommended to the Council by its Report of January 15, 1965
that land hereinater described be rezoned as petitioned, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city, by and through its
Clerk, caused a notice of hearing for the purpose of considering
the recommendation of the Commission to be published three
consecutive days in a newspaper of general circulation within
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of publication
having been more than 15 days before the date of the hearing by
the City Council, whereby all interested ersons were invited
to appear before the Council at the time and place specified in
the noticefor the purpose of expressing their views in support
of or in opposition to the recommendation of the Commission,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri ,
has conducted the hearing provided for by the Notice of Hearing
and heard all persons who desired to be heard on the matter,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the city, as incorporated into
Ordinance Number 5880 of the city, as amended, is hereby changed,
amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of the following
described land from District "B" Multiple Dwelling to District "C'
Multiple Dwelling, and said property is, and it is hereby, rezone
accordingly:
"Part of Outlot No. 5 in the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Fillmore and
Jefferson Streets, thence west along the north
line of Fillmore Street, 210 feet; thence North,
parallel with Jefferson Street, along the east
line of a private alley, 202 feet 9 inches;
thence East, parallel with Atchison Street,
along the south line of said private alley, 60
feet; thence North, parallel with Jefferson
Street, along the east line of said private
alley, 96 feet 3 inches; thence East, parallel
with Atchison Street, 150 feet to the west line
of Jefferson Street; thence South, along the west
lineof Jefferson Street, 299.0 feet to the point
of beginning."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval .
