AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING,
AMENDING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY
REZONING A CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM A DISTRICT
"AA" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL CLASSIFICATION TO DISTRICT "A-1"
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri ,
was petitioned in writing to rezone land hereinafter described
from its present District "AA" Single Family Residential
Classification to a District "A-1" Single Family Residential
Classification, and
WHEREAS, the City Council referred the petition to the
City Planning and Zoning Commission for consideration, hearing
and recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after
hearing, study and consideration did recommend to the City
Council by its report of November 24, 1964, that the land
hereinafter described be rezoned as petitioned, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri
by and through its City Clerk has caused a notice of hearing
for the purpose of rezoning to be published three consecutive
days in a newspaper of general circulation within the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of publication having been
more than fifteen days preceding the date of the hearing by
the City Council, wherein such notice of rezoning all interested
parties were requested to appear before the City Council at
the time and place specified therein for the purpose of attending
a public hearing and expressing their views in support of or
in opposition to the recommendation of the Planning and
Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
has conducted said hearing and heard the views of all persons
expressing an interest in the rezoning of the land hereinafter
described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
® Section 1 . The zoning map of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as
amended, of said city, is hereby changed, amended and modified
to reflect the rezoning of the following-described property
from its present District "AA" Single Family Residential
Classification to District "A-1" Single Family Residential
Classification, and the following-described property within
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is, and it is hereby, rezoned
accordingly:
"Beginning at the intersections of the
south line of Ellis Boulevard and the
west line of Hough Park Golf Course, thence
south along and with .the west line of Hough
Park Golf Course to the city limits line;
thence west and north with the city limits
line to its most easterly intersection with
the south line of Ellis Boulevard, thence
easterly along and with the south line of
Ellis Boulevard to the point of beginning."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval .
