ORDINANCE NO. 7G 17
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REPEALING
SECTION 846 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, 1956, RELATING TO THE CLOSING OF PUBLIC STREETS
AND REENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . Section 846 of the Revised Ordinances of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, relating to the closing of
public streets in the city be, and the same is hereby,
repealed.
Section 2. Closing of Streets. The Director of
Public Works and the Street Commissioner, with the approval
of the Mayor, are hereby authorized to close any public street,
alley, highway or roadway in the city and withdraw the same
from public use temporarily for such period of time as public
work thereon, or in the immediate vicinity thereof, shall
make such action necessary.
Section 3 . This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
