AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE
PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THE CITY, PROVIDING
A PRESUMPTION THAT ANY MOTOR VEHICLE PARKED IN VIOLATION OF
THIS ORDINANCE WAS PARKED BY THE OWNER THEREOF, AND PROVIDING

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
`` . MLSSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . Parking Vehicles Prohibited. The operator
of a -vehicle shall not park the same at any point or place
within the areas described on the following-named roadways :
,'.'. (5) On the north half of Main Street between
Fulkerson Street and Clay Street,
(10) On the south half of Main Street between Fulkerson
Street and a point located 240 feet east of the
east curb of Fulkerson Street.
(15) On the south half of Main Street west, and within
t' 75 feet, of the west curb of Fulkerson Street .
(20) On the south half of Main Street west, and within
i, 30 feet of the west curb of Walnut Street .
a (25) On the south half of Main Street east, and within
:h"!. 30 feet, of the east curb of Walnut Street.
(30) On the west half of Walnut Street south, and within
60 feet, of the south curb of Main Street.
(35) On the east half of Walnut Street between Main
Street and High Street.
(40) On the west half of Walnut Street north and within
i238 }feet, of the north curb of McCarty Street.
(45) On the west half of Walnut Street north, and within
' r 155 feet, of the extended south curb of the High
Street access road reserved for eastbound traffic.
(50) On the north half of McCarty Street east, and within
µ 80 feet, of the east curb of Walnut Street.
(55) On the south half of McCarty Street east, and within
4.. 80 feet of the east curb of Walnut Street.

(60) On the north half of Harrison Street (Old Highway 50
West) between McCarty Street and the Whitton
Expressway.
Section 2. Presumption to Apply. rn any prosecution for
any violation of any of the provisions of Section 1 hereof,
roof that the vehicle parked in the complaint was

violation of a provision of Section 1, together with proof that
the defendant named in the complaint was at the time of such

a prima facie presumption that the owner of the vehicle was
the person who parked the vehicle at the

Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not
more than $100.00 or be imprisoned in jail for not longer
than 90 days, or be punished by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. Effective Date. Upon its passage and approval
this ordinance shall be in force and take effect as soon as
the Street Commissioner advises the public that the parking
of vehicles in the areas specified in Section 1 hereof is
prohibited by the erection of appropriate signs or the painting
of curbs.
