ORDINANCE NO. 76 31
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING,
AMENDING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY
REZONING CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM DISTRICT
"A-2" SINGLE FAMCLY RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION TO DISTRICT "C"
MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, was petitioned in writing to rezone land from
District "A-2" Classification to a District "C" Classification,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council referred the petition to the
City Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration,
study and recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after
hearing, study and consideration, by its report to the City
Council of March 12, 19651 recommended that the petition
should be denied and the property not be rezoned, and
WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson, Missouri has held a
public hearing on the 3rd day of May, 1965 to hear the views
of all interest persons on the issue of whether the recommenda-
tion of the Planning and Zoning Commission should be approved
or rejected, after first giving due notice, in a newspaper
of general circulation within the city more than fifteen
days prior to the date of the hearing, of the subject matter,
time and place of the hearing, and inviting all interested
persons to appear at the hearing and be heard, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, has conducted the hearing and, after hearing the
views of all persons expressing themselves on the matter and
considering the .recommendation of the Planning and Zoning
Commission, has concluded that it would be in the public interest
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, to reject the recommendation
of the Planning and Zoning Commission and rezone the following
described land as petitioned, now therefore:

BE IT ORDA NED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MLSSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The zoning map of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as amended,
of said city, is hereby changed, amended and modified to
reflect the rezoning of the following-described property
from District "A-2" Single Family Residence Classification
to a District "C" multiple Family Residence Classification,
and the following-described property is, and it is hereby,
rezoned accordingly:
Part of Lot No. 35 of Lincoln's Subdivision
in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, per plat
of record in Plat Book 6, Page 75, and part
of Lot No. 6 in Block No. 19 of Renn Addition
in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, per plat
of record in Plat Book 2, Page 5, said plat
books being in the Cole County Recorder's
Office, as said tract of land is more particularly
described in a Warranty Deed of record in
Book 188, Page 339, Cole County Recorder's
Office."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
