AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE
PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES, PRESCRIBING A PRESUMPTION AND PROVIDING
A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Parking Vehicles Prohibited. The operator of a
vehicle shall not park the same on the north side of Main Street
® between two pointes logated one hundred and sixty nine (169) feet
and two hundred and fifty five (255) feet east of the east curb
of East Circle Drive.
Section 2. Presumption to Apply. In any prosecution for a
violation of Section 1 of this ordinance, proof that the vehicle
described in the complaint was parked in violation of Section 1,
ogether with proof that the defendant named in the complaint was
at the time of the parking the owner of the vehicle, shall then
onstitute in evidence a prima facie presumption that the owner
f the vehicle was the person -who parked the vehicle at the point
® here, and for the time during which, such violation occurred.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con-
iction thereof shall be fined not more than $100.00 or imprisoned
of longer than 90 days, or be punished by both such fine and
imprisonment,,
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after
