AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF CITY TAXES AND
ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, j
MISSOURI, FOR THE YEAR, 1965-1966.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
I) SECTION 1. There is hereby levied and assessed the following rate on all
j Real Estate and Personal Property within the limits of the City of Jefferson, 110,
f� not exempt from taxation by the Constitution or the laws of the State of Missouri,
;i as shown by the assessment book of the City of Jefferson, Mo. , for the year 4
ii1965-1966, and on all Merchants and Manufacturers statements, made as
II! provided by law:

!� FIRST - For the purpose of paying all current expenses of the City of
Jefferson, Mo. , for the fiscal year, the sum of $ 0 . 88 cents on the one
hundred dollar valuation. r
SECOND - For the purpose of paying interest on the outstanding bonds of the j
City of Jefferson, Mo. , and for the purpose of creating a sinking fund to I
+I retire the outstanding bonds of the City of Jefferson, Mo. , the sum of $0- 45
cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
f THIRD - For the purpose of establishing and maintaining a Free Public Librark
(! in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of $ 0. 40 cents on the one '
'j hundred dollar valuation.
t� FOURTH - For the purpose of establishing and maintaining Free Public Parks
in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of $ 0. 20 cents on the
one hundred dollar valuation.
FIFTH - For the purpose of creating a Firemen's Retirement System for '

Firemen in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of $ 0. 07 cents on the
one hundred dollar valuation.

SECTION 2. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to cause to be extended in th"
1; appropriate columns opposite each item of taxable property on the assessment
�i books as returned by the Assessor of the City of Jefferson, Mo. , and corrected
by the County Board of Equalization, the amount of taxes to be paid by each I�
person as provided by Section One of this Ordinance.
