AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING FOR PUBLIC USE CERTAIN LAND DEEDED TO THE CITY
FOR SJREET PURPOSES, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
AND THE CLERK OF THE CITY TO EXECU"L'E ALL INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED
TO CONFIRM IN THE ABUTING PROPERTY OWNERS THEIR REVERSIONARY
RIGHTS IN THE VACA:XED RIGHT OF WAY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY `!.'HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, hereby declares that it is necessary and in the
public interest that the following land be discontinued for
public use as street right of way:
Part of the east fractional half of Section 35,
Township 45, Range 12, in the City of Jefferson,
County of Cole, Missouri, more particularly
described as follows:
From the northwest corner of a tract of land
conveyed to Joe R. Warden and Ruby Warden, his
wife, per deed of record in Book 136, Page 316,
Cole County Recorder's Office; thence North 580
15' East along the northerly line of said tract,
438.27 feet to the point of beginning: thence
continuing North 58 015' East 70 feet; thence
North 31 045' West 70 feet; thence South 58 0151
West 10 feet; thence North 31 045' West 94 feet
to the south line of the Mrs. Theodore Engelbrecht
property; thence South 58°15' West along said south
line 50 feet; thence South 31 045' East 94 feet;
thence South 58 015' 10 feet; thence South 31 045'
East 70 feet to the point of beginning. Bearings
are magnetic.
Said strip of land being deeded to the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, for public use forever and
shall be known by the name of Crystal View Terrace.
Section 2. It is hereby declared that the street right
of way described hereinabove be, and it is hereby, vacated
and forever discontinued as a right of way for street purpose.
Section 3. The statutory right of reversion in the owners
of the abutting property in said vacated right of way, as is

provided by the laws of Missouri, is hereby fully confirmed
and the Mayor and the Clerk of the City are hereby directed
to execute any instrument, for and in behalf of the City,
that may be required by law to confirm in Harold Lee Thomas,
Juanita W. Thomas, husband and wife, and Alvena Engelbrecht,
a single person, their right of reversion in the right of way
hereinabove vacated.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
