AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE
PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES, PRESCRIBING A PRESUMPTION AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Parking vehicles prohibited. The operator
of a vehicle shall not park the same at any point on the
north side of Main Street west of, and within one hundred
fifty-five feet of� the west curb of Fulkerson Street.
® Section 2. Presumption to apply. In any prosecution
for a violation of Section 1 of this ordinance, proof that the
vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation of
Section 11 together with proof that the defendant named in
the complaint was at the time of the parking the owner of the
vehicle, shall then constitute in evidence a prima facie pre-
sumption that the owner of the vehicle was the person who
parked the vehicle at the point where, and for the time during
which, such violation occurred.
Section 3. Penalty Any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more
than $100.00 or imprisoned not longer than 90 days, or be
punished by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. Effective date. The ordinance shall take
effect from and after its passage and approval .
