AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX AGAINST EACH LOT
OR PIECE OF GROUND LYING BETWEEN AND SITUATE WITHIN THE BOUNDS
!' OF SEWER DISTRICT NO. 109 IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , IN
THE NAME OF THE OWNER OR OWNERS THEREOF FOR CONSTRUCTING AND COM-
PLETING SEWERS THEREIN.
I; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,

SECTION 1 . It appearing from the written report of the
Director of Public Works, the officer in charge of the work of
�f construction and completing sewers in Sewer District No. 109 in
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, heretofore submitted by said !!)
® 1 officer to the City Council and approved and filed by it on this

lst day of November, 1965, at a regular meeting of the City Counci�
1; held on this date, that the total cost of construction and com-
pletingvof said sewer as constructed amounts to the sum of
' $7,523.0X, and it further appearing that said report of said

officer did apportion said costs against the several lots or
I pieces of ground in said Sewer District No. 109, exclusive of
�I streets in proportion to the area of the whole of said District
No. 109 exclusive of the public highways, and it further appearing
(� that the total number of square feet contained in the aggregate

" number of lots and pieces of ground situated in the said Sewer i

i; District No. 109, exclusive of the public highways therein,
amounts to 234, 960 square feet. And it further appearing from the
I said report that on proper apportionment of said costs such lots
11 1� or pieces of ground in said Sewer District No. 109, so situated,
j� each square foot of ground contained in said lots or pieces of
!j ground in said Sewer District No. 109 is chargeable with the sum
�I of $0.03201830 per square.
I� Now, therefore, for the purpose of paying for the work of
±; construction and completion of sewers in said Sewer District
�I No. 109 together with all necessary laterals, inlets, catch basin,
1; manholes, and other necessary appurtenances thereto appertaining,
i
there is hereby levied and assessed against the several and here-
inafter described lots or pieces of ground within the bounds of
said Sewer District No. 109, situated in the name of the res-
pective name of the owner or owners of said lots or pieces of
ground, a special tax at the rate of $0.03201830 per square foot,
} for each and every square foot of ground so situated as aforesaid '

SECTION 2. Each of the lots or pieces of ground so mentioned
and referred to in Section 1 of this Ordinance, against which a
special tax bill is specified in Section 1 of this ordinance is
levied and assessed and the same is hereby levied and assessed and
the description of said lots or pieces of ground and the name of
the owner or owners thereof in which the tax is levied and asses-
sed and the cost per square foot and the amount assessed each lot
or piece of ground in said Sewer District No. 109 situated in the
name of the owner or owners thereof, the number of square feet
owned by each property holder in the lots or pieces of ground
owned by each owner in said Sewer District No. 109 is as follows:

SECTION 3 . The City Clerk is hereby instructed to proceed at
once to make out special tax bills under the seal of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, of the aforesaid amounts against said lots
or pieces of land in the aforesaid Sewer District No. 109 situated,
mentioned and described in the heretofore mentioned sections of
this Ordinance in the name of the owner or owners thereof, which
said special and certified tax bills shall be signed by the Mayor
and attested and recorded by the City Clerk and delivered to the
Alvin Brunner Construction Company, the Contractor of the work of
construction of the aforesaid sewers as provided and required by
the Charter of the City of Jefferson and the Ordinances authorizing
and ordering the construction of sewers in said Sewer District No.
109, heretofore passed and approved by the Council.
® SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
