AN ORDINANCE OF TI3E CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING A
LOADING ZONE IN THE CITY, REGULATING THE PARKING OF MOTOR
VEHICLES THEREIN, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY, AND REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 7710 OF THE CITY RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Loading Zone. The operator of a vehicle shall not park
the same on the east half of Jefferson Street at any place between two
points located 355 feet and 380 feet north from the north curb of Dunklin
Street, except to load or unload food, or other goods, wares and merchan-
dise at The Igloo.
Section 2. Presumption to apply. In any prosecution for a violation
of Section 1 of this ordinance, proof that the vehicle described in the com-
plaint was parked in violation of Section 1, together with proof that the
defendant named in the complaint was at the time of the parking the owner
of the vehicle, shall then constitute in evidence a prima facie presumption
that the owner of the vehicle was the person who parked the vehicle at the
point where, and for the time during which, such violation occurred.
Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating the provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof, shall be fined not more than $100.00 or be imprisoned not longer
than 90 days, or be punished by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. Repeal Clause. Ordinance Number 7710 of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, establishing a loading zone on Jefferson Street be,
and the same is hereby, repealed.

Section S. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage and approval.
