ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING,
AMENDING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER
5880, BY REZONING CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM
DISTRICT "A-2" RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION TO DISTRICT "E" LOCAL
COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
was petitioned in writing to rezone land hereinafter described from its
present District "A-2" Classification to District "E" Classification, and
WHEREAS, the City Council referred the petition to the City
Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration, study and recom-
mendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after
hearing, study and consideration, recommended that the land described
in its report, and hereinafter described in this ordinance, should be
rezoned, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
by its City Clerk, has caused a notice of hearing of rezoning to be
published three consecutive days in a newspaper of general circulation
within the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of publication having
been more than fifteen days preceding the date of the hearing by the
City Council, by which all interested parties were invited to appear
before the City Council at the time and place specified in the notice and
be heard in support of, or in opposition to, the recommendation of the
Planning and Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
conducted said hearing and heard the views of all persons expressing an
interest in the rezoning of the land hereinafter described, on January 3,
1966.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as
incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as amended, of said city, is
hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of the
following-described property from District "A-2" Single Family Residence
Classification to District "E" Local Commercial Classification, and the
following-described property is, and it is hereby, rezoned accordingly:
Beginning at a point on the east line of Chestnut Street
that is 15 feet north of the northwest corner of Outlot
No. 96, thence south along the said east line of Chestnut
Street 370 feet; thence east parallel with the north line
of said Outlot No. 96, 750 feet; thence north parallel to
the west line of said Outlot No. 96, 370 feet; thence
west parallel to the north line of Outlot No.96 to the
point of beginning.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.
