INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN: Dt--,30 ORDINA1110E rTO. -17,2 7 , AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING, AMENDING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY REZONING CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM A DISTRICT "A-I" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION TO A DISTRICT "F" HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, was petitioned on September 10, 1964, in writing to rezone land generally here- inafter described from its present District "A-1" Classification to a District "F" Classification, and Ah WHEREAS, on October 5, 1964, the City Council did refer the petition to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration, study and recommendation, and VfHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after hearing, study and consideration, by its report dated October 19, 1964, and received and read by the City Council on November 9, 1964, recommended that the land as described in the petition and hereinafter described in this ordinance; should be rezoned as petitioned, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, by and through its City Clerk has caused a notice of hearing for the purpose of rezoning to be published three consecutive days in a newspaper of general circulation within the City of Jefferson, Missouri., the last day of publication hawing been more than fifteen days preceding the date of the hearing by the City Council, wherein such notice of rezoning all interested parties were requested to appear before the City Council at the time and place specified therein for the purpose of attending a public hearing and expressing their views in support of or in opposition to the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, has conducted said hearing and heard the views of all persons expressing an interest in the rezoning of the land hereinafter described. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as amended, of said city, is hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of all that portion of the following-described property presently zoned in District "A-1" Single Family Residence Classification from its present District "A=r1 " Single Family Residence Classification to a District "F" Highway Commercial Classification, and that portion of the following-described property is, and it is hereby, rezoned accordingly: Part of the Northeast quarter of Section 13, Township 44, Range 12, containing 5.6 acres, more or less, and more particularly described as follows: From the southwest corner of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of said Section 13, Township 44, Range 12; thence east along the quarter section line, 179 feet to the northerly line of Missouri Farm-to-Market Route C; thence in a northeasterly direction along said Route C, 471 feet; thence north perpendicular to said line, 5 feet; thence east:parallel with said line 308 feet to the west line of U. S. Highway No. 54; thence in a northeasterly direction along said line 501.8 feet to the point of beginning; thence turning an angle to the left, 113 degrees and 20 minutes, 332.3 feet to the west line of the Elizabeth Purzner property; thence turning an angle to the right, 85 degrees and 3 minutes along the west line of said property, 577.4 feet to the northwest corner of said property; thence along the north line of said property, south 76 degrees and 30 minutes east (True) 443.5 feet, more or less, to the-west line of U. S. Highway 54 (Jefferson Street Line); thence in a southerly direction along the west line of said Highway, 57 feet to the beginning point of a curve; thence along said curve to the right, and along the said westerly line of Jefferson Street, 262.6 feet to U. S. Highway No. 54 (Madison Street line); thence in a southwesterly direction along said line, 323.4 feet to the beginning point of this description." Section 2.
