I THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THE CITY,
PRESCRIBING A PRESUMPTION, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.

i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
` MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: �
Section 1. Parking Vehicle Prohibited. The operator of a vehicle shall not
! park the same at any point on the east half of Jefferson Street that is south,, a d
within one hundred and seventy six (176) feet, of the centerline of the
I� Rex M. Whitton Expressway.
Section 2. Presumption to Apply. In any prosecution for a violation of !
Section 1 hereof, proof that the vehicle described in the complaint was parked
in violation of said section, together with proof that the defendant named in
the complaint was at the time of the parking the owner of the vehicle, shall
then constitute in evidence a prima facie presumption that the owner of the !
I; vehicle was the person who parked the same at the place where, and for the
i
time during which, such violation occurred.

f Section 3. E2EaLtL Any person violating this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more
than $100. 00 or be imprisoned not longer than 90 days, or be punished by
such fine and imprisonment.

Section 4. :Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
I� from and after its passage and approval.

Section 5. Repeal Clause. All ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
iirepealed ' ofar as they conflict.
