AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE A IMITEN
CONTRACT, FOR AND IN THE NAME OF THE CITY, WITH HAROLD G. BUTZER,
INC. , A CORPORA.TIONr OF JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI, TO PERFORM
CERTAIN HEATING WORK IN THE CITY HALL BUILDING.

MISSOURI,` AS FOLLOWS:
Section,l. The Mayor and Clerk of the City are hereby
authorized and directed, for and in the name of the city, to
Execute a written .contract with Harold G. Butzer, Inc., a
corporation, of"J'effer3on City, Missouri, relating to the
performance of certain heating work in the City Hall Building. .
Section 2. Said contract shall read in words and figures
as follows:

C O N T R A C T
THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into this 22nd day of
March, 1966, by and between the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
a city of the third class existing under the laws of the State
of Missouri, of Cole County, Missouri, hereinafter termed the
Owner, and Harold G. Butzer, Inc., a Missouri corporation, of
Cole County, Missouri, hereinafter termed Contractor:

IT IS AGREED BY AND BETWEEN THE PARTIES AS FOLLOWS:
1. Contractor shall furnish all labor and material to
install a unit heater, with piping and control as required,
and to do all electrical work required on the existing unit,
and insulate all piping as specified, all in accordance with
the Specifications for Heating Work, City Hall Building,
Jefferson City, Missouri, for the sum of Eight Hundred and
Thirty Seven ($837.00) Dollars; provided that, the work to
be performed does not include any painting of any kind, and
the work to be performed by Contractor shall be performed
during regular working hours.

2. It is agreed that the Specifications for Heating Work,
City Hall Building, Jefferson City, Missouri, attached hereto
shall form a part of this contract.
3 . Upon completion of the work to be performed by the
Contractor, Owner shall pay the Contractor the sum of Eight
Hundred and Thirty Seven ($837.00) Dollars.
4. Paragraph 2 ( Extra Work ) and Paragraph 3 (Overtime)
shall form part of the provisions of this contract, as same
are set forth on the back of the bid of Harold G. Butzer, Inc.,
attached hereto, in the event any Extra Work or Overtime should

be involved in this work.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties to this Contract have
hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year initially
written above.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR HEATING WORK
CITY HALL BUILDING
JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI
SCOPE OF WORK:,
1. Insulate all exposed';steam pipes on the first floor (Herman's Store)
with four=piy' asbestocel covering.
install a Modine cabinet unit heater, model #C-1000, or approved
equal, on the front face of an interior wall in Herman' s Store.
The unit heater 'shall blow downward and toward the front entrance door.
This new unit. heater shall have a separate fan switch, an automatic
steam valve, an aquasfat and relay .so that the fan can be run continuously
an4 the heat be supplied as needed. The steam and return piping will be
rtln .overhead from paresent heater location.
3. Remove the old unit heater in the northwest corner of Herman's Store
and rework piping as. required.
4,. Relays and wiring . shall� also be supplied on the two basement units
and the east wall unit to. turn on boiler burner on "call for heat.

STANDARD CONDITIONS
1. TERMS OF PAYMENT: Terms of payment are as follows: By the
tenth day of each month, Purchaser shall pay for all equipment and materials
placed on job site and installation or supervision labor and services performed
during the preceding month as shown by our written estimate or by the
architect's (if any) estimate, less a reserve of ten per cent thereof. The
aggregate amount of these monthly reserves shall be paid by the Purchaser
within thirty days after installation is substantially completed. Interest at
six per cent per annum to be paid on past due accounts.
2. EXTRA WORK: If the purchaser requires that work other than that
agreed upon on the face hereof be performed the payment therefor shall be as
follows:
a. Installation and Supervision Labor: Cost of labor based on current wage
scale and benefits, plus applicable insurance and payroll taxes, plus twenty
AIM percent.
b. Material: Cost of material based on current wholesale prices including
applicable taxes if material is from our stock or cost of material based on
invoice price including applicable taxes and transportation charge, plus
twenty percent.
c. Subcontracted Work or Services Rendered by Others: Cost of work or
service plus twenty percent.
3. OVERTIME: It is contemplated that any installation or supervision labor
and services agreed on the face hereof are to be performed during regular
working days. If for any reason the Purchaser requests that labor or ser-
vices be performed outside of regular working hours, any overtime or other
additional expense occasioned thereby shall be billed to and paid by the Par-
chaser as an extra.
4. EXPIRATION: This Proposal is void unless accepted and returned with-
in 30 days of proposal date.
