'7 71.x/ AN ORDIANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THIS CITY AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. _Stop Sign. The driver of a motor vehicle on Locust Street shall bring the vehicle to a full and complete stop before entering the inter- section of Locust Street and Dunklin Street and thereafter proceed cautiously, yielding the right of way to any pedestrian crossing a roadway at said inter- section within any marked or unmarked crosswalk, or to any vehicle not required to stop, which is either within the intersection or approaching so closely thereto as to constitute an immediate hazard. Section 2. Penalty. Any person violating the terms of Section 1 hereof shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than $100. 00 or imprisoned not longer than 90 days, or be punished by both such fine and imprisonment. Section 3. Duration. This ordinance shall remain in force and effect for sixty days from and after its passage and approval. Section 4. Effective Date.
