e .IAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE
IPARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THIS CITY,
�RESCRIBING A PRESUMPTION AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.

E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ilSection 1. Parkin g Prohibited. The operator of a vehicle shall not park
1�he same at any point on Miller Street between its intersections with Benton
Street and Gordon Street.
iSection 2. Presumption to Apply. In any prosecution for a violation of
'ection 1 of this ordinance, proof that the vehicle described in the complaint
f as parked in violation of Section 1, together with proof that the defendant
named in the complaint was at the time of the parking the owner of the vehicle,
I hall then constitute in evidence a prima facie presumption that the owner of
the vehicle was. the person who parked the vehicle at the point where, and for
the time during which, such violation occurred.
Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating any of the terms of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
hereof, shall be fined not more thar, $100. 00 or be imprisoned not longer, than
0 days, or be punished by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
